Clouds gathering over the monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie at Glenfinnan on Scotland's west coast. The monument, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, was a popular destination for tourists. It commemorated the life of Charles Edward Stuart, known as Bonnie Prince Charlie, the Young Pretender, who attempted to seize the British throne in the Jacobite rebellion of 1745.
