Philip Jones from Canterbury, Kent, cradles his three-day-old son Finn, at Evelina Children's London Hospital Hospital neonatal intensive care unit in central London. Finn was born with a pre-diagnosed condition which required a life-saving, five-hour heart 'switch' operation to be carried out within the first two weeks of his life. The operation, which took place when Finn was 10 days old was successful, however, due to other near fatal complications the his recovery during the subsequent six weeks was slow and difficult.
