Proprietor Reg Johnson (right) showing chef Paul Heathcote his ducklings housed in a barn at Goosnargh, in Lancashire, northwest England. The plant belongs to Johnson and Swarbrick, a business which rears 2700 ducks and 1200 corn-fed chickens each week. The poultry at the farm is fed with a special corn recipe which Johnson and Swarbrick designed with the help of a nutritionist.
