John Budworth, head gardener at Norton Priory in Runcorn, Cheshire, holding some of the quince grown at the priory. Norton Priory is home of the National Collection of Tree Quince (cydonia oblonga, pictured). These are dotted around the garden and the site and include 20 different varieties. It holds an annual quince day for visitors and is on one of the newly-launched Cheshire Food Trails.
